I find that the best course of action is to get your ideas on paper and clean up later. I think that using Wordle is an excellent idea as well, as repetitions often tend to jump out mostly if within the same page. <br /><br />Not long ago I was editing a short story that had three hundred occurrences (out of 7,000 words) of 'Head of State'. Good grief...! You know those semi-glam ads that tell you proofreaders (and editors) have great jobs because they get to read for a living? We don't read for a living!
